Thank you for showing an interest in volunteering with Development in Action. This role will offer excellent experience for someone looking to start their career in the development and/or education sectors, is interested in teaching/education and is looking for a part-time voluntary role to support their interests/career aspirations.

Volunteering for DiA doesn’t need to take a lot of your time. Due to the nature of our work, we would only be asking for a little of your time on an irregular basis. This means you don’t need to commit to a regular amount of hours or time each week. In each case we would check you are able to take on a task before assigning it to you. We would need you to be self motivated and able to work independently.
Where would you work?
DiA is a nationwide organisation, so we welcome volunteers from any part of the UK. We are particularly keen for you to work actively in your local area to raise awareness of global issues and promote global citizenship. Development in Action does not have an office base and so volunteers need to be able to work from home and keep contact via phone or email.
What will you gain?
Volunteering for an organisation like DiA, with its unique activities and ethos, will provide you with excellent skills and experience in the charity sector. As a small organisation we offer each volunteer the opportunity to take responsibility for a particular area of work. We meet all of our volunteers and offer regular opportunities to network and socialise with the DiA committee, other volunteers, and partner organisations.
Volunteering for DiA allows you to contribute to a small but exciting NGO. This is your chance to get involved, take action and make a real difference.
