DiA is a UK-registered charity, run by dedicated volunteers and one part-time UK Coordinator. If you wish to take part in a DiA placement you will be required to fundraise the following amounts:

2-month placement minimum amount to be fundraised: £880 (reduced to £800 if you apply by the 31st December!)

5-month placement minimum amount to be fundraised: £1,600

.

Anyone accepted onto a 2-month or 5-month DiA placement will need to pay a deposit of £100 within one week to confirm their place. These minimum fundraised contributions go towards the running of the volunteer placement scheme. Any funds raised above and beyond this will be directed towards our Development Education work in the UK.

How will the money I fundraise be used?

DiA is completely open to all volunteers about how it spends its money - the breakdown below gives you a rough idea of what your donations will be spent on based on previous year’s experience.
