Placement Fees

All interns are asked to make a contribution towards their placement costs. DiA is volunteer-run and operates on a not-for-profit basis, so this money covers the cost of running the programme

We provide fundraising support and guidance to ensure that no-one is financially excluded, and all interns are able to raise the required contribution. Several members of the DiA committee are previous India interns and so are well positioned to give you advice and support. The fundraising team have experience in holding fundraising events, and also gaining corporate funding and grants from trusts. All interns are given an in-depth fundraising pack designed to get them started with numerous tips, advice, ideas, and other resources. The fundraising team will also be present at the UK training day to deliver fundraising training and respond to any individual enquiries interns may have.

Cost

2-month placement: £800

6-month placement: £1,800

Fee breakdown

The placement fees cover the cost to DiA for coordinating the programme and the costs to our partners for hosting interns. We ensure that all our partners receive a financial contribution to cover the resources that they provide when hosting our interns. For many of our partners this financial contribution supports their activities and is valued alongside the time and skills that our interns give.
