Haiti - It’s now one year since an earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale struck Haiti, killing over 200,000 people and leaving 1.3 million homeless. With tonnes of rubble blocking roads, contaminated water sources and, in recent months, an escalating outbreak of cholera, the crisis posed a logistical nightmare for aid agencies. Thanks to the generosity of the general public across the world, who took action and donated in their millions, emergency relief and support was provided to millions of those in desperate need. Visit BBC News or the Red Cross for more on Haiti's recovery and the challenges it's still facing.
