Carolina Echegaray

Development Education Officer

Carolina has been teaching abroad for the past 5 years in various countries such as Peru, Thailand, Spain and Sri Lanka and has recently returned to live in the UK where she works within the Inclusive Education department in a secondary school helping children who have recently immigrated to England improve their English. Her passion for development education stems from her time living abroad where she volunteered in impoverished schools in rural areas which led her to take a Masters in International Education and development. This is her first year working for DIA and she is passionate about finding innovative ways to engage young people in global issues, sustainability and citizenship.
