Isabel Emerson

UK Programmes Officer
Isabel joined DiA as the UK Programmes Officer in 2018 whilst working at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). She currently assists within the centre supporting field research, exploration and outdoor learning.
Isabel graduated with from the University of Sheffield where she studied Geography (BA), focusing on the socio-environmental side of the subject. She has carried out fieldwork in Morocco as well as spending eight weeks in India researching environmentalism in New Delhi.
During university Isabel successful led a mentoring scheme in two local schools and was a keen Geography Ambassador for the RGS-IBG, delivering surplus lessons to pupils across the UK which she very much enjoys.
Isabel is a keen cyclist, runner and avid lover of the outdoors where you would either find her running, up a mountain or surfing. She’s excited to bring her passion for both development and education to help within Development in Action.
