Roisin joined Development in Action in 2016 after completing an MSc in Globalisation and Latin American Development at UCL. Academically she has focused on the study of global educational issues. Following six weeks of field research she wrote her masters dissertation on the issues faced by indigenous students and teachers in primary schools in Oaxaca Mexico. She has worked with educational organisations in countries including, India, Egypt, Spain and Mexico and has a keen interest in ensuring young people are aware and interested the wider world they live in and feel able to discuss global issues and their possible solutions.
In her spare time Roisin enjoys baking cakes and singing along to musicals. She is very excited about working with the Development in Action committee and workshop leaders over the coming year.
