- knowledge and experience of Development Education?
- ability to work in partnership and to build strong, sustainable working relationships?
- proven time management, organisational and administrative skills?
- a creative and mature approach to problem solving and the ability to act as a mediator?
- proven experience of communicating confidently and effectively with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures?
- realistic expectations about volunteer and development work?
- enthusiasm for learning and for personal development?
Breaking into the development field can be hard, and having the right experience is often crucial. As Volunteer Co-ordinator for DiA you could work with established and well-reputed NGOs in India, as well as conduct research in the NGO field there. The role offers the opportunity for you to more firmly establish your volunteering and development education credentials AND the chance to travel India for six months!
