Previous and Upcoming Workshops

We offer workshops to schools on a range of global development issues. If you would like to know more about our delivery of workshops and the topics covered please see below:

Recent Workshop – IntoUniversity – Brighton – February 2016
February 2016 saw the start of our first global citizenship workshop for 2016!  One of last year’s workshop leaders, Anna McGovern, and our newly recruited workshop leader Bora Betlen delivered a workshop at IntoUniversity in Brighton on Refugees to a group of pupils from Year 6.

Teachers involved were impressed by both content and delivery of the workshops and pupils found they learnt more about refugees than they knew already.

IntoUniversity is an educational charity that provides local learning centres across the UK where young people are inspired to achieve. At each local centre IntoUniversity offers an innovative programme that supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to attain either a university place or another chosen aspiration.

As we continue to promote and recruit workshops for our global citizenships workshops programme, we’re always keen to work with not just schools, but wider youth groups and organisations too.

If your school would like Development in Action (DiA) to deliver a workshop on any topic around global citizenship then contact our UK Programme Officer Roisin: roisin@developmentinaction.org for further details or to sign up.

So don’t delay, book today!
