Under new management – our 100th blog post!

We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead at The DiA Blog with the arrival of our new Blog Editors, Louisa Jones and Richard Moran.

As well as our usual roster of guest posts we plan to organise a number of mini-series showing differing viewpoints on topics in international development.

To coordinate with the relaunch of DiA’s India volunteer programme in 2014, we will also occasionally shine a light on the different stages of the volunteering experience, including words of wisdom from our Volunteer Management Committee and our India partners.

And a big thank you to outgoing Blog Officer Emily Wight for all her hard work over the last two years!

From the DiA Committee

In Maharashtra, Western India, the October festival of Dussehra is considered an auspicious time to start new ventures and is also the day when artisan communities – and in this case, bus drivers! – pay homage to the tools of their trade.
